In order to encourage Astronomy as an interesting, educative and valuable hobby, The Kayal First Trust has founded Kayalpatnam Astronomy Society.

Among its activities would be arranging eclipse watches, sky gazing programs etc. A telescope to view the night sky, astronomy related books for study by registered members have also been planned
